The owners share what it’s like to live in this fantastic property: "Living in Casa La Parra in Tablazos means, for us, that we have found ‘a corner of paradise,’ just as the previous owner described it when we moved here eight years ago. Coming home to our beautiful and peaceful house feels especially wonderful after spending a few hours in the lovely and lively town of Nerja, with its wide range of restaurants and shops open all year round — or after visiting one of the many beautiful beaches.
We have equally enjoyed the fantastic hiking trails that start right by the house. A small path from the property leads us down to the Rio Higuerón and further along the river to Nerja in a half-hour walk, or upwards along the river to the stunningly beautiful village of Frigiliana.
Another thing we have loved is being able to walk out into the beautifully terraced garden and pick various fruits directly from the trees. Here you’ll find avocados almost year-round, olives, lemons, mandarins, clementines, grapes, bananas, nísperos, kaki, cherimoya, three types of figs, pomegranates, almonds, eucalyptus, and mango. The floral display is also wonderful here when the different colors of bougainvillea, roses, oleander, and hibiscus bloom.
